Roberto Baggio attacked in his villa

Legendary Italian football star Roberto Baggio experienced a major robbery and kidnapping shock at his villa last night.

According to a report by Corriere della Sera, the former Italian number 10 was targeted by a gang of at least five people while watching a national team match at his villa in Altavilla Vicentina.

The robbers entered the villa and locked Baggio and his family in a room. Baggio, who tried to prevent the robbery, was injured on the head by a robber with the butt of a gun.

HE REMAINED LOCKED IN THE ROOM

Baggio, who suffered a deep wound on his forehead, remained locked in the room with his family for more than 40 minutes. After the robbers fled the scene having looted the villa, Baggio broke down the door and notified the gendarmerie.

It was reported that Baggio, who was taken to the emergency room, is not in serious condition and received several stitches on his forehead.
