Sad news for viewers from the screenwriter of Arka Sokaklar
The fate of Arka Sokaklar, which had been the subject of speculation regarding whether it would reach a finale, has finally been revealed. A notable statement regarding the future of the series has come from the Arka Sokaklar camp.
The series' screenwriter, Ozan Yurdakul, announced in a post that the project has come to an end.
Yurdakul recalled that the series, which was filmed under the umbrella of Erler Film between 2006 and 2022, continued for three more seasons under the production of D Media, completing its 20th season.
He stated that while preparations for the new season were underway, a joint decision was made by D Media and Kanal D not to continue the series.
Including emotional expressions in his post, Yurdakul stated that the Arka Sokaklar journey, which the late Türker İnanoğlu began in 2006, has thus come to an end.
Expressing that the series, which remained on screens for approximately 20 years and 751 weeks, could not bid farewell to its audience in the way it deserved, Yurdakul thanked everyone who contributed to the project and the viewers.
