'You are now free' message to the cast of the Şakir Paşa Ailesi series
The second season of the Medyapım-produced series Şakir Paşa Ailesi has been canceled. The reason cited for the decision was "astronomically rising costs."
A decision that will sadden viewers of the Şakir Paşa Ailesi series, which made a name for itself during its broadcast period, has been made regarding its second season.
According to the report by Birsen Altuntaş, the project, which met with audiences on NOW TV, was set to feature a time jump in its second season. However, the production company sent a message to the actors involved in the series, informing them that they were no longer tied to the project and were free. Thus, the uncertainty that had been ongoing for some time has come to an end.
IT HAD DRAWN ATTENTION WITH THE CRISES IT EXPERIENCED
In the short time it was broadcast, the series drew attention not only for its artistic aspects but also for the crises it experienced. It received two RTÜK fines, and two separate fires halted the set.
One of the most dramatic events was the death of production manager Serkan Sükyan, who suffered a heart attack during preparations for filming on Büyükada. All these events made the project one of the most eventful productions of recent years.
