Scammers' new trap: How to protect yourself from visa fraud!

Following an increase in visa application fraud cases, VFS Global has warned Turkish citizens to be cautious. 

The company stated that citizens are being deceived by scammers using new methods such as fake appointment letters, promises of paid appointments, and guarantees of positive visa decisions.

In a statement made by VFS Global Turkey and Azerbaijan Regional Manager Sertan Aslantürk, it was emphasized that visa applications can only be made through the www.vfsglobal.com website and are completely free of charge. 

Aslantürk urged citizens to apply early, stating, "Delaying the application not only increases the risk of delay; it can also make you a target for scammers."

The statement reminded that VFS Global has no influence on the decision-making process for visa applications, and that all decisions are made by the relevant country's embassies and consulates. 

VFS Global also specifically emphasized that it does not collaborate with any third-party organizations and does not offer job placement or immigration services.

COMMON MISTAKES IN APPLICATIONS

The company also addressed the most common mistakes encountered in visa applications. It was stated that applications can be rejected due to reasons such as information mismatch, incorrect photo format, submission of incomplete documents, and unverified bank statements. 

Citizens were advised to carefully review the current document list and photo requirements of the relevant country before applying.

REPRESENTS 26 COUNTRIES

Serving as a visa application center for 26 countries in Turkey, VFS Global manages application processes on behalf of many countries, including Australia, France, Germany, Canada, and the United Kingdom. 

The company's duties are limited only to collecting application documents, taking biometric data, and forwarding them to the relevant representations.
