Seçil Özçakmak, known for the song 'Uhde': 'I regret having an abortion'
Seçil Özçakmak, who left her mark on an era with songs like 'Unutursun Gönlüm' and 'Rabbena', has revealed an unknown truth about her private life. Özçakmak said, "I had two abortions in my life. Because I had them two months apart, I was never able to have children again."
Famous artist Seçil Özçakmak has broken her long-standing silence.
Speaking to Aytekin Teker from Habertürk, the artist said that she learned she was pregnant while her second husband was in the military, but that she had two abortions due to his pressure.
'I HAD TWO ABORTIONS'
Expressing her regret on the matter, the singer stated, "My husband said he didn't want a baby because he was in the military. If I had the wisdom I have now, I wouldn't have listened to him; I would have brought the child into the world. I had to have an abortion because he didn't want it. I had two abortions. Because I had them two months apart, I was never able to have children again.
I feel that sadness deeply and say 'I wish,' but it doesn't matter. Unfortunately, I made such a mistake. Sometimes I also think that if I had brought them into the world, I would have a 24-year-old child. It is difficult to raise children in this day and age, and there are times when I say it's a good thing I didn't," she said.
