According to the report by Çiğdem Saltık from Sözcü, Atilla Tamer was laid to rest in the family cemetery in Bakırköy yesterday following the funeral prayer held at the Ataköy 5th Section Ömer Duruk Mosque after the afternoon prayer.

Veteran theater actor Zihni Göktay and TRT artist Turhan Öge were also at the funeral ceremony. While emotional moments were experienced during the ceremony, Turhan Öge taking a selfie with Zihni Göktay drew significant backlash on social media.
