Seren Serengil announces who she will vote for in Istanbul
Presenter and singer Seren Serengil has announced which candidate she will vote for in Istanbul in the March 31, 2024, local elections.
As the local elections approach, many figures from the television and arts world have begun to announce who they will vote for. Most recently, presenter and singer Seren Serengil announced the candidate she supports in the March 31 local elections.
With only a few days left until the local elections, famous names have started to declare their voting preferences.
Presenter and singer Seren Serengil announced who she would vote for in the March 31 local elections in a post on her social media account.
Sharing a photo of the incumbent Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, Serengil stated the following;
"I was born and raised in Istanbul, and I am casting my vote for Ekrem İmamoğlu. Because I have character, because I love my country, and because I love animals, I will not vote for those who defend the cruelty inflicted upon them in recent years. I also say to all my fellow artists, 'let us not lose our backbone.' Just as people choose not to engage with us today, we are under no obligation to choose anyone.
If we are to be punished for this, then go ahead and punish us. In a democratic country, everyone has the right to choose anyone, and the right to declare it. For some reason, because there is an atmosphere of fear, none of my friends want to compromise themselves for fear of not getting concert bookings or not being able to act in TV series. I feel very sorry for them.
I am a Turk, I am a child of Atatürk. I will cast my vote for Ekrem İmamoğlu. Everything will be very beautiful."

REHA ÖZCAN HAD ALSO ANNOUNCED
Actor Reha Özcan had also indicated which candidate he would vote for in the IBB elections with a post he made in recent days.
"I HAVE NEVER LEFT ANYONE ALONE WHO WAS BEATEN BY 17 PEOPLE"
Stating that he was not going to vote but that conditions had changed, Özcan said in a post on his social media account, "I have never left anyone alone in my life who was beaten by 17 people."
I have never left anyone alone in my life who was beaten by 17 people. I was not going to vote, but now the conditions have changed...

Özcan's post was interpreted as meaning he would vote for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who has been re-nominated by the CHP.
