Singer Dilan Çıtak had made headlines in recent months with striking statements regarding her father, İbrahim Tatlıses.

Çıtak had alleged that Tatlıses subjected her to psychological violence and mobbing, claiming that her father practiced favoritism among his children, and stated, "If I have paid a price, everyone will pay. From the moment he said 'Dilan is my daughter,' there were those who loved me and those who didn't. Many of my business contracts were terminated. The Tatlıses surname has been of no benefit to my music."

İbrahim Tatlıses, for his part, did not remain silent regarding his daughter's statements, responding by saying, "She should not use my surname. Dilan Çıtak's only problem is Mr. İdo."

While this tension between father and daughter continues, a notable move came from Dilan Çıtak. In a statement on her social media account, the famous singer said, "We have been searching for a long time on how to change a verified account name, don't worry. It had happened unintentionally anyway. God willing, I will remain just myself in the near future. A great burden has been lifted off me; believe me, I am saying 'oh' and I am saying 'thank God'." Following this statement, Çıtak removed the "Tatlıses" surname from her social media account.
