Actress Doğa Lara Akkaya made revelations on her social media account, claiming that her co-star Tayanç Ayaydın, with whom she worked on the 2022 series 'Tozluyaka', had subjected her to verbal and written harassment. Sharing the messages sent by Ayaydın, Akkaya expressed the pressure she faced with the following words:

“This man is married. They told me, ‘He is older than you, stay silent.’ I was 21, it was my first job, I couldn't open my mouth. I am burning myself, I stand behind my sisters. But how can I trust that you will stand behind me? Am I alone again?”

STATEMENT FROM TAYANÇ AYAYDIN

Breaking his silence following the allegations, Tayanç Ayaydın issued a statement on his social media account. Stating that his messages were not malicious but may have been misunderstood, Ayaydın used the following expressions:

“I sent a message to a colleague on New Year's Eve. Looking back today, I see that although this message did not carry malicious intent, it could be perceived as inappropriate. I sincerely apologize for this.

I may have acted thoughtlessly, but I did not harass anyone. I cut off communication as soon as I understood the reaction. No form of harassment is acceptable.”

Ayaydın also announced that he would take legal action, stating that the public perception had grown disproportionately:

“It is extremely saddening for me to be associated with such a serious accusation. Therefore, I will resort to legal channels to protect myself and my reputation. This step is not to silence women's voices, but only to remedy the unfair damage directed at me.”
