Singer Ebru Polat returns to the legal profession: We are taking down a fraud ring

Singer Ebru Polat has announced that she has returned to the legal profession. Upon her return, Polat immediately began working to apprehend members of a gang that had been using her name to defraud people on social media.

Gang members, who had been defrauding numerous people through various social media accounts with promises of earning money by working from home, recently reached out to many individuals using the name of artist Ebru Polat. According to allegations, the scammers told victims to pay 500 liras as a deposit under the guise of sending them materials, promising to then ship the products to their homes.

After her followers reported the situation to her, Polat took action and went to the prosecutor's office to file a criminal complaint against the account holders. Having returned to the legal profession, Polat said, "I have returned to the profession, and as soon as I did, we cracked down on a massive fraud ring and are currently dismantling it. An investigation has been launched against them."

Ebru Polat stated the following: "There is a gang that specifically targets housewives, saying, 'We will have you package soap at home, but before this packaging, you need to deposit 500 liras as a security deposit.' They specifically say, 'You will work from home, you will deposit 500 liras, and then we will send you the products.' When they send the products, they suddenly present you with a fait accompli, saying, 'We sent you the products, the shipping cost is this much, you need to send another 4 thousand liras.' You say, but that's not how it was. The moment you say, 'You asked for 500 liras, I cannot send 4 thousand liras,' the threats begin. We have even identified who they are."
