Singer Elif Buse Doğan a victim of an obsessed fan
Elif Buse Doğan has filed a lawsuit against her obsessed fan, a tour guide named Murat T., whom she claims has been constantly stalking her and making threats, seeking up to 2 years in prison for the crime of "persistent stalking."
As the trial continues at the Istanbul Criminal Court of First Instance, singer Elif Buse Doğan alleged that Murat T. has been following her step-by-step even during her trips abroad and continues to make threats.
Doğan, through her lawyer Bekir Çirli, applied to the Family Court to request protection.
Elif Buse Doğan stated that she fears for her safety when she goes out and requested a restraining order.
2-MONTH RESTRAINING ORDER
The court decided that Murat T. must not disturb the victim, Elif Buse Doğan, in any way for a period of 2 months.
The court further stated that if Murat T. acts in violation of this decision, he will be subject to disciplinary imprisonment ranging from 3 to 10 days.
Murat T., who appealed the decision, claimed that it was actually the famous singer who would not leave him alone.
