YOU CAN BUY A CAR FOR THE PRICE OF A COAT
According to journalist Faik Erdemli, a brand-new Audi A3 can be purchased for the price of the coat.
Only 1 of the 3 coats that arrived in Turkey has been sold so far.
Cumhuriyet columnist Erdemli provided the following information about the material of the coat:
"Vicunas live in the high mountains of Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina. In the 14th century, there were 1 million vicunas. Currently, this number has dropped to 5 thousand.
Under the leadership of the Peruvian government, it was decided to gather the remaining vicunas in a national park in Pampa Galeras, Peru.
Vicunas are animals resistant to cold climates. The gestation period of females lasts 11 months, and they give birth to only 1 offspring at a time. Baby vicunas are born with fur resistant to cold nights. Newborns weigh approximately 4 kg.
A baby vicuna starts running 15 minutes after birth.
The average weight of an adult vicuna is 50 kg. The average lifespan of vicunas is 12 years.
In ancient times, only the Inca royal family could benefit from fabrics obtained from vicuna wool.
Only 100-250 grams of wool can be shorn from a vicuna every 2 years."
