Bad news has emerged regarding Jake Lloyd, who is remembered for his role as Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise. It has been learned that Lloyd, who has struggled with mental health issues since his high school years, has been admitted to a mental health facility for treatment.
It has been revealed that Jake Lloyd, known as the child star of the 'Star Wars' film series, has been receiving treatment at a mental health facility for the past 10 months.
Speaking to Scripps News about her son, Jake Lloyd's mother, Lisa Lloyd, provided information regarding his mental health.
'I DON'T KNOW WHICH REALITY HE IS IN'
Lisa Lloyd said, "Jake started having some trouble in high school. He started talking about realities. He didn't know if he was in this reality, or if he was in a different reality. I don't even know if I'm supposed to say that. I don't know which reality I'm in."
DIAGNOSED WITH PARANOID SCHIZOPHRENIA
Jake Lloyd, who expressed that he constantly felt he was being followed by others, was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia in 2008.
Following an evaluation for Jake, who was taken to the hospital, it was decided that he would be admitted for an 18-month treatment program.
