Statement from the lawyer of Tolga Akış, who has been issued an arrest warrant

Akış's lawyer, Kaya Pulat, stated in a post on his social media account that he has full faith that his client will regain his freedom as soon as possible, and used the following expressions:

"Public Announcement

My client, Tolga Akış, was arrested today as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of “mediating obscene publications.”

The issues cited as grounds for my client's arrest are essentially the same as those in a previously conducted and concluded case regarding a concert held on September 6, 2025. Although action was taken regarding the concert in that file, my client was not involved in any stage of that investigation.

Approximately one year later, the same actions have been re-evaluated, and the most severe protective measure, arrest, has been resorted to by imposing criminal liability on my client solely based on his role as the founder and producer of the group.

All necessary legal remedies will be immediately sought against the arrest decision, and we have full faith that the process will be clarified on legal grounds and that my client will regain his freedom as soon as possible.

Tolga Akış

Attorney

Atty. Kaya Pulat"
