Claims emerged that veteran actress Türkan Şoray had opened an account on the X platform.
News websites reported on the situation by using a photo of Şoray and quoting the message: "I made a change for the new year and opened a Twitter account. This is my only official account. I wish for us to be a modern, contemporary, and prosperous country on the path of our Atatürk. Happy and healthy new year to everyone."
The account's follower count increased in a short time. Later, political posts began to be made from the account.
SHE MADE A STATEMENT
Following this development, Türkan Şoray announced on her Instagram account that the account was fake:
"I do not have an X account. I only have an official Instagram account."
The fake account was suspended shortly after complaints were made.
