Işın Karaca and Sedat Doğan, who married in 2011, decided to separate in 2013. Appearing on the program Gel Konuşalım, the singer spoke about her ex-husband and the father of her daughter Mia, stating, "I don't want alimony or money. I provide for everything myself. I didn't ask for anything in court either. My daughter grew up knowing everything about her father," explaining the process she went through after the divorce and her daughter's relationship with her father.
Making new statements, Işın Karaca expressed that her daughter Mia knows everything about her father, Sedat Doğan. She explained that Mia is not obligated to establish any communication with her father or meet him against her own will until she turns 18. Karaca also said that her daughter does not want to see her father.
After Sedat Doğan was arrested in Brazil for theft, Işın Karaca had won the lawsuit she filed for their daughter Mia to use her own surname.
