Surprising claim: Are Dilan Polat and Engin Polat getting a divorce?

The Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation into the couple Engin and Dilan Polat for crimes including money laundering, violation of the Tax Procedure Law, and violation of the law on betting and games of chance in football and other sports competitions; the couple was arrested and sent to prison last week.

Emrullah Erdinç, the journalist following the Dilan-Engin Polat case, made new statements regarding the family. The journalist investigated whether an appeal had been filed against the detention of the Polats and their family, who have been in custody for days.

'THEY HAVE NOT APPEALED THE DETENTION'

In his statement, Erdinç said, "The right to appeal arose for the people arrested along with Dilan and Engin Polat, and I expected it to be done today. I called Dilan Polat's lawyer; I will not mention their name as I did not get permission. I asked if they had appealed the detention, but I did not receive an answer. Then I spoke with my news sources. I learned that no appeal against the detention has been filed. While I was waiting, I found that none of the members of the Polat family, especially the Doğu family, had filed an appeal.

Of course, it can be done within 7 days, but they might not have done it because the court could give a rejection response and it might be perceived negatively... I do not think they will receive a positive response to any of the appeals made against this detention for a long time," he said.

'THERE IS NO APPLICATION FOR DIVORCE'

The journalist also made a statement regarding the allegations that Dilan Polat and Engin Polat would divorce and said the following:

"There is no such situation; in none of the information I have obtained is there any discussion or application regarding them getting a divorce."
