As part of the investigation, detention warrants were issued for 25 people in May. Taşçı, who was on the list, was taken to the Council of Forensic Medicine following procedures carried out in Muğla and was released after giving his statement.
Following his release, Taşçı issued a statement expressing his respect for the investigation process. In his statement, Taşçı noted that his residence was searched in the morning hours, that he voluntarily reported to the Bodrum District Gendarmerie Command with his lawyer after learning of the detention warrant, and that he was released after providing his testimony via SEGBİS.
In the same statement, Taşçı said, "I would like to state that I respect all decisions to be made regarding the investigation process," and thanked the law enforcement officers and members of the judiciary.
