The Argentine star used the following harsh language in a statement he made on social media:

"She is lying. She went to court to prevent me from seeing my daughters and stole 7 million Euros from me. She is at the peak of her own downfall. Because of her obsession with my fiancée China Suarez, she kept our two daughters, aged 9 and 10, for 11 hours to prevent them from being with their father. She will never be part of my family. Wanda Nara's response to Icardi's accusations was not delayed. In her statement, Nara included the following remarks:
