Teoman faces 'obsessive fan' harassment: He fears for his safety

Obsessive fans continue to make life a nightmare for celebrities. Following famous names such as Serenay Sarıkaya, Hadise, Aleyna Tilki, and Ezgi Mola, rock musician Teoman has now been subjected to harassment by an obsessive fan.

According to a report in Hürriyet, Teoman has filed a complaint against Aysun A., who harassed him after learning his home address.

SHE WAS USING TEOMAN'S SURNAME

According to the criminal complaint submitted to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a woman named Aysun A. was posting messages on Twitter about Teoman that reached the level of harassment. Aysun A. changed her surname to use Teoman's surname, 'Yakupoğlu'. Sharing content exclusively about Teoman on social media, Aysun A. also wrote comments under the singer's posts such as "I'm coming on Saturday, be home" and "My dear, I want to see you."

SHE ISSUED THREATS

Aysun A. also threatened Teoman regarding his driver, saying, "Rein in Serkan Koç, or else you'll see." Despite a protection order already in place against Aysun A., who made baseless claims and sexually explicit statements about the famous rocker, she continued her harassment with remarks such as, "Your Honor, it is very obvious that this person is trying to make me fall in love with him. Will you be my witness at our wedding?"

HE LIVES IN FEAR OF AN ENCOUNTER

Teoman's lawyer, Barış Berberoğlu, stated in the complaint that Aysun A. is in a state of mind that is more obsessive than fanatical, saying, "Aysun A. lives in a world she has created in her imagination with my client. However, this situation is causing serious harm to my client and those around him. The suspect has been seen in places near my client's address, such as cafes and grocery stores, and has stated that she was waiting for my client."

Berberoğlu added the following:

"The suspect has persistently and systematically disturbed my client's peace and tranquility. This behavior by Aysun A., who is stalking my client, has reached the level of harassment. My client lives in constant fear of encountering Aysun A. whenever he goes out. My client, who feels he is constantly being watched, is seriously concerned for his safety. For this reason, we are filing a complaint against Aysun A."
