New details have emerged in the 'money laundering' investigation conducted by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Bureau of Investigation for Terrorism and Organized Crime into 16 suspects, including Engin and Dilan Polat.

According to the prosecutor's findings, 60 companies belonging to the suspects have been placed under investigation.

MONEY WAS DEPOSITED INTO COMPANIES IN CASH

It was determined that the money was transferred between dozens of companies established by Engin and Dilan Polat themselves and their relatives, and was subsequently withdrawn in cash and deposited by hand into the company owned by Engin Polat.

While it was determined that the suspects' assets were inconsistent with their financial status, the report to be prepared by MASAK will determine how much of the money, with a total volume stated to be approximately 1 billion TL, was obtained through genuine commercial earnings and how much was money laundering.
