According to a report by Variety magazine, the couple's official date of separation is April 26. The couple had tied the knot in 2022. The duo was known as "Bennifer" in the early 2000s.

However, the two reunited years later and tied the knot in a simple ceremony in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022. The couple then held a grand wedding that remained in the headlines for a long time.

In an interview with Zane Lowe, Lopez made some confessions about how breaking up with Affleck 17 years ago affected her.

'IT WAS VERY PAINFUL'

Stating that she did not even want to sing any songs from that album on stage after breaking up with Affleck, to whom she was engaged between 2002 and 2004, Lopez said, "It was very painful after we broke up."

The star said, "We canceled that wedding 20 years ago and I had the biggest heartbreak of my life. Honestly, I thought I was going to die."

In an interview with Vogue, Lopez had said that being with Affleck made her feel more beautiful than she had ever felt before.

'AFFLECK IS A WONDERFUL FATHER FIGURE'

The famous singer said, "I feel even more relaxed and comfortable, which makes me feel more beautiful than I have ever felt with anyone else."

On the other hand, Lopez expressed that Affleck is a "wonderful father figure" for her children and added, "He is a wonderful father figure to them. He has three beautiful children of his own, and then there is us. He really knows very well what that means and what it signifies. They love him. They appreciate him, and so do I."
