The first of two solar eclipses to occur this year took place in Mexico.
Outside of Mexico, the eclipse will be visible in the eastern regions of the USA and the southeast of Canada. While the eclipse is expected to last more than 4 minutes in some places, Mexicans gathered in the coastal town of Mazatlan to watch it.

HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
The second and final solar eclipse of the year will also be visible from Turkey. According to NASA, solar eclipses can last between 10 seconds and approximately 7 and a half minutes.
