The Godfather star Al Pacino recounts his near-death experience for the first time

Al Pacino, who rose to fame with his performances in films such as "The Godfather," "The Irishman," and "Scarface," has shared his near-death experience for the first time.

In an interview with People magazine, the 84-year-old actor said that he contracted Covid-19 during the pandemic and came very close to death.

Stating that at one point his pulse was not beating, the star actor said, "I thought I was dead, but maybe I wasn't. I managed to live."

The veteran actor described the moments he returned from the brink of death with these words:

"I don't think I was dead. Everyone thought I was dead. How could I have been dead? I had passed out. When I opened my eyes, there were six paramedics in my living room. There was an ambulance outside the door and two doctors in space suits that looked like something from Mars. I looked around and thought, 'What happened to me?'" The Godfather star said that his assistant, Michael Quinn, called paramedics immediately after realizing something was wrong.

Pacino stated, "He called the paramedics because the nurse who was looking after me said, 'I don't feel a pulse on this man.'"
