Haydarpaşa Station, located in Kadıköy, Istanbul, entered a restoration process after its roof was damaged in a fire on November 28, 2010.

The General Directorate of State Railways prepared a restoration project that remained faithful to the original state of the historic station, which was approved by the Kadıköy Municipality.

In line with the project, which was also approved by the Council of Monuments, it was decided to restore the entire building. Work for this purpose began in 2016.

A PORTION OF THE COVERS REMOVED

The restoration at Haydarpaşa Station, which began in 2016, has reached its final stage. It was observed that a portion of the covers surrounding the building had been removed.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated last year, "We are meticulously continuing the work without damaging the historical texture. The station, which was heavily damaged in the 2010 fire, will be completely ready in 2024."

The new state of Haydarpaşa Station, which is under restoration, was captured by drone.
