It has been learned that the life of Barış Manço, the legendary name of Turkish music who etched himself into memory with songs such as Gülpembe, Dağlar Dağlar, and Unutamadım, will be made into a film.
According to the report by Birsen Altuntaş, Hakan Kırvavaç, who also directs the series Kızılcık Şerbeti, will sit in the director's chair for the film.
It has been learned that Ekin Koç will portray Barış Manço in the film. Filming is planned to begin in June 2025.
32-year-old Ekin Koç, who most recently starred in the series "Taş Kağıt Makas", is known for his interest in music in addition to his acting career.

Koç has gained a wide fan base with successful productions such as "Üç Kuruş", "Bizim İçin Şampiyon", "Sana Bir Sır Vereceğim", "Uyanış: Büyük Selçuklu", "Muhteşem Yüzyıl Kösem", "Benim Adım Gültepe", "Senden Bana Kalan", and "Kurak Günler".

Barış Manço, one of the pioneering names of Turkish rock music, was also known abroad. Manço, who received the title of State Artist of the Republic of Turkey in 1991, passed away at the age of 56 on February 1, 1999, as a result of a heart attack at his home in Kadıköy.
