Every year, upon returning from migration, Yaren lands in his nest in Eskikaraağaç and spends the summer in this village. Every morning, Yaren goes fishing with fisherman Adem Yılmaz.

While Yaren is the first to arrive from migration each year, his mate Nazlı joins him within a few days.

The documentary titled 'Yaren,' filmed by Burak Doğansoysal in 2019 and prepared with the contributions of the Karacabey Municipality, returned from the Prague Film Awards with the title of Best Documentary.

Last year, the Karacabey Municipality had a statue of Fisherman Adem and Yaren the Stork commissioned, ensuring the story was immortalized in the village square.
