Filming continues for Gupse Özay’s new movie, Lohusa, in which she serves as both actress and screenwriter.

Özay, who welcomed her daughter Jan Asya last year, appeared on camera in her new film alongside Prof. Dr. Melih Atahan Güven, the obstetrician who delivered her baby in real life.

ON CAMERA WITH HER REAL-LIFE DOCTOR

Güven plays the doctor of the character Burcu, portrayed by Özay, in the film. With this birth scene, the famous actress relived the same experience she had with her real-life doctor.

Directed by Kıvanç Baruönü, the film Lohusa tells the story of a young mother and father, the 40 days they experience after the birth, and the funny events that happen to them during this process.

In addition to Gupse Özay, the film also features accomplished actors such as Onur Gürçay, Hazal Türesan, Esra Ruşan, Elif Nur Kerkük, Su Şanad, and Feri Baycu Güler.

Produced by Muzaffer Yıldırım, Lohusa is set to hit theaters in 2024.
