The suspicious death of artist Güllü: Father of Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter speaks for the first time

In the judicial process regarding the suspicious death of Güllü, her father, Gürol Gülter, spoke for the first time following the arrest of her daughter, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, on charges of "intentional homicide."

Speaking to Habertürk TV, Gülter expressed his lack of confidence in the current state of the case, stating, "I do not believe this outcome. I cannot understand what Sultan bargained for to make a confession, or why she did not confess until now." he said.

In the investigation into the death of Güllü, who passed away on September 26, her daughter, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, was arrested and sent to prison. A house arrest order was issued for her friend, Sultan Nur Ulu, who was reportedly in the same room at the time of the incident. Ulu was taken to her address in Yalova and placed under judicial control. Arif Ulu and two other individuals who were detained were released following their processing at the police station.

"SHE CALLED FROM THE GRAVESIDE"

Güllü's ex-husband, Gürol Gülter, said that his daughter had called him on the phone before her arrest. Stating that this conversation took place at Güllü's graveside, Gülter expressed that his daughter was deeply shaken and in tears.

“SHE WAS CRYING JUST LIKE AT THE FUNERAL”

Recounting those moments with emotion, Gürol Gülter said, “She was crying, she was crying a lot. She was crying just like she did at the funeral. I tried to console her, saying, ‘You will get used to it over time, pray for your mother.’ She was crying so loudly that if she really was at the cemetery, people must have come over to her.”

REACTION TO CONFESSION ALLEGATIONS

Emphasizing once again that he does not believe the current picture of the investigation, Gülter pointed specifically to the statements of Sultan Nur Ulu, stating, “They say, ‘No, Sultan confessed.’ But what kind of deal did she make to confess now? Why didn’t she confess until today? I really cannot understand this part.”
