The unforgettable name of arabesque music: Müslüm Gürses commemorated at the museum bearing his name

The 'Müslüm Gürses Museum' was opened on October 1, 2013, in honor of the Şanlıurfa-born Müslüm Gürses, who passed away in Istanbul on March 3, 2013.

About 3 years ago, the museum was moved to its new location in the Life Park (Yaşam Parkı) built by the Karaköprü Municipality.

The museum, where numerous personal belongings of Gürses—who won the hearts of millions with his unique style and interpretation—are exhibited, has been welcoming his fans for 11 years.

HIS PERSONAL BELONGINGS ARE ON DISPLAY

Visitors have the opportunity to see many of the artist's personal items, such as his wax statue, vinyl records, sunglasses, prayer beads, photographs from his childhood and youth, clothing, and shoes.

Adil Çakmak, the person in charge of the museum, stated that their goal as the Karaköprü Municipality is to host all visitors to the museum in the best possible way.

'WE ARE HAPPY TO HOST HIS FANS'

Stating that they keep the artist's memories alive in the museum, Çakmak spoke as follows:

"The Müslüm Gürses Museum moved to a larger building within the Life Park about 3 years ago. Our guests visit our museum with a guide every day except Monday between 09:30 and 18:00. Especially on weekends, there is a high volume of visitors coming from outside the city and from abroad. We are happy to host the fans of Müslüm Gürses."
