Theater artist Demet Ersoy dies after falling from hotel terrace

Theater director and artist Demet Ersoy arrived yesterday evening from Ankara at a hotel in the Kumbahçe neighborhood of Bodrum, Muğla, for a business meeting.

The 46-year-old Ersoy and her friends checked into the hotel last night. It is alleged that Demet Ersoy, who was socializing and consuming alcohol with her friends during the night, went out to the terrace where her friends were located late in the evening.

It was stated that Ersoy fell to the ground after leaning against the low terrace railing, and that her friends subsequently called emergency medical teams and the police.

INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED

During the checks, it was determined that Demet Ersoy, who was married and a mother of one, had lost her life. While Ersoy's body was sent to the Muğla Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy, the police launched an investigation into the incident.

Statements were taken from her friends and the hotel management.

Following the police examination of the scene and its surroundings, the body was sent for an autopsy, and statements from her friends were recorded. It was stated that the investigation is ongoing.
