Tragedy in Istanbul after aesthetic surgery: Famous influencer Ana Bárbara loses her life

Mozambican popular figure Elgar Sueia and his wife, social media influencer Ana Bárbara Buhr Buldrini, came to Istanbul for both a collaboration and their honeymoon. The couple, who married in May, had signed a promotional agreement with a hospital in Turkey in exchange for cosmetic procedures. Ana Bárbara chose a clinic in Istanbul for liposuction.

According to allegations, although her husband Elgar Sueia expressed his concerns about the surgery, Ana Bárbara did not change her mind. While the couple was planning the honeymoon they would spend in Istanbul, they were met with an unexpected tragedy.

ADMITTED TO SURGERY BEFORE THE PLANNED DATE

Ana Bárbara went to the hospital on June 15 for routine pre-operative tests. However, it is alleged that she was taken into surgery two days before the scheduled date and before the necessary medical preparations were completed. It was also claimed that she was not fasting, despite the requirement to be empty-stomached before the operation. During the surgery, the young woman's heart rate slowed, and despite all interventions, she could not be saved. Her husband, Elgar Sueia, recounted the events in tears.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE HOSPITAL

Following the passing of Ana Bárbara Buhr Buldrini, the hospital management issued a press release. The statement included the following:

"During the waking process, our patient developed a sudden and unexpected complication and experienced cardiac arrest due to ventricular fibrillation; resuscitation was performed by our expert anesthesia team under operating room conditions for 1 hour and 30 minutes before extubation. Despite all interventions, the patient could not be revived."

The statement also noted that the patient was referred as a dental patient, that all legal and medical information was provided prior to the operation, and that the necessary consents were obtained. It was emphasized that the operation was carried out in accordance with the hospital's standards.

LEGAL PROCESS HAS BEGUN

The hospital management announced that a legal process has been initiated to determine the exact cause of death and that they are acting in full cooperation with the relevant authorities. The cause of death will be clarified following the autopsy results. The hospital extended its condolences to Ana Bárbara's family and loved ones.

Elgar Sueia, who led a happy life in Mozambique, is now preparing to launch a legal battle to investigate the negligence that led to his wife's death. The incident has caused a major stir on social media and in Mozambique.
