Turkish Airlines bans sales to 'Baruthane Pilavcısı'
Turkish Airlines (THY) will not sell flight tickets for one year to Nedim Şahin, known as 'Baruthane Pilavcısı', after he shared a video on social media of himself eating rice he brought on board.
Business owner Nedim Şahin, who shares content on social media under the name "Baruthane Pilavcısı," ate rice from his own brand that he brought with him instead of the meal served on a Turkish Airlines flight.
Şahin recorded these moments with his mobile phone camera and shared them on his social media accounts.
Following the spread of the footage on social media, Turkish Airlines blacklisted Nedim Şahin on the grounds that he damaged the company's brand value. Şahin will not be able to purchase tickets from Turkish Airlines for 1 year.
