Ufuk Özkan makes his first post after being discharged

It was alleged that Ufuk Özkan, known for his role as 'Cevahir' in the series 'Geniş Aile' and who narrowly escaped death two years ago due to cirrhosis, had attempted suicide.

The 50-year-old actor, who was claimed to have been taken to the hospital after ingesting medication at his home in Beşiktaş, announced that he is in good health in a statement to gazetemagazin.

Özkan stated, "Are they trying to kill me? I go to the hospital for a check-up every two days because I have eczema on my face. I am resting at home."

On the same day, the following statement was made by the TiyatroTr account:

"Our esteemed actor Ufuk Özkan has applied to the hospital for control purposes due to the effects of the medication he uses routinely due to his illness. Our artist will be kept in the hospital for a 48-hour observation period only upon the advice of the doctors and will be discharged after this process."

Ufuk Özkan's brother, Umut Özkan, also announced that his brother had been taken to intensive care.

Magazin D news director Asiye Acar, who reached out to Umut Özkan, shared the conversation they had on social media:

"I reached out to Ufuk Özkan's brother, Umut Özkan. He said that his brother had been receiving treatment for cirrhosis for some time, that the medical board had given a negative report for a transplant, and that he was very upset about this. He even said, 'I will die on stage if necessary, I have to work'... He fell ill this morning and was taken to the hospital and placed in intensive care. The only thing he wants from his loved ones is prayers."

DISCHARGED

The actor, who was receiving treatment in intensive care, announced that he had been discharged from the hospital with a post he made on his Instagram account.

"DUE TO THE SIDE EFFECT OF THE MEDICATION I USED..."

Ufuk Özkan made the following statement:

"I would like to thank everyone who called and asked. I felt your love to my bones. I saw once again how many people love me. I experienced spots on my body and severe nausea due to the side effect of a medication I was using. The doctors wanted to keep me under observation because I am in a high-risk group. I am fine now. Thank you very much"
