Ultra-wealthy line up to stay here: 4 million TL per night

Janah, an advisor to Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu and described by Forbes as a leading construction tycoon in the Maldives, has built numerous resorts in the island nation and more remote regions. On the 14,000-square-meter Kudahithi Island, a limited number of nights will be released annually, and people will be able to bid via an auction system to secure a reservation. Intense interest has already begun for the island, which is popular among celebrities and the ultra-wealthy.

Speaking to Euronews Travel, Mohamed Ali Janah stated that this concept is being tested for the first time and has sparked interest.

"It will serve as a single, isolated private island. In other words, you will see no one else but yourself," Janah said, emphasizing the high level of privacy on the island. It was also noted that wealthy travelers can bring their own staff and personnel to cook in the island's restaurant.

It is known that actress Sophie Turner and her then-boyfriend, musician Joe Jonas, rented the island in 2018 and paid 45,000 dollars (1.53 million TL) for one night.
