Former Balıkesirspor President Metin Kaygılaroğlu has passed away at the age of 86 following a long battle with health issues.

Famous actor Uraz Kaygılaroğlu, the grandson of Metin Kaygılaroğlu, attended the funeral prayer held at the historic Zağnos Paşa Mosque in Balıkesir following the afternoon prayer. The famous actor, who received the news of his grandfather's death on his birthday, June 30, accepted condolences by the casket. Fulfilling his final duty, Uraz Kaygılaroğlu also helped carry his grandfather's casket to the hearse. The late Kaygılaroğlu was laid to rest at the Başçeşme Cemetery.
