3 otters spotted together in Sivas
While it is quite difficult to spot even one otter, which is among the endangered species, a villager in Sivas managed to capture 3 otters together.
Near the village of Çimenyenice in the Hafik district of Sivas, 3 otters, which are among the endangered species and categorized as near-threatened, were spotted together by a villager.
The otter family, consisting of a mother and two pups, realized they were being filmed while playing in the water and entered the Kızılırmak River, disappearing from sight.
'THEY ARE NOCTURNAL CREATURES'
Wildlife photographer Mustafa Arslan stated that seeing three otters at the same time is a great stroke of luck, adding, "Otters are in the near-threatened category among endangered species. They are mostly nocturnal creatures. They spend most of their lives in water and areas near water. For this reason, they do not show themselves to humans very often. They are usually seen by fishermen.
That is why capturing them on camera is interesting. They are harmless, solitary creatures. Those who manage to see them can consider themselves quite lucky," he said.
