The tension experienced by food critic Vedat Milor at a lahmacun shop over taking a photo, and his subsequent remark that he would "sever his ties with Turkey," continues to resonate with the public. The latest reaction to Milor's words came from veteran singer Fedon Kalyoncu.
'I HAVE NEVER SAID NO TO ANYONE IN MY LIFE'
In a television program, Fedon stated that he always approaches those who want to take photos with him positively. Criticizing Vedat Milor's attitude, Fedon said, "I have never said 'No' to anyone in my life. The person is already feeling small and awkward. What should I do? Love multiplies a person," he said.
'IF YOU ARE GOING TO LEAVE THIS COUNTRY, DON'T STAY FOR A MINUTE'
Fedon also reacted sharply to Vedat Milor's thought of leaving Turkey, using the following expressions: "If you are going to leave the country because of this man, don't stay for a minute. Unfortunately, you are ignorant enough not to understand the purity and innocence of an Anatolian child."
IT HAD BECOME A SUBJECT OF DEBATE ON SOCIAL MEDIA
The incident came to the agenda following a dispute between Vedat Milor and lahmacun shop owner Fuat Sarı. The debate, which found wide repercussions on social media, brought a major discussion to the public eye. Following the criticism he received, Milor had announced that he would sever his ties with Turkey.
