Surprising event in Erzincan: 110-kilogram pike caught with a fishing rod
A fisherman caught a pike weighing approximately 110 kilograms on his line in the Karasu River in Erzincan. Erdoğan Mercan, who caught the fish, said, "It is truly very difficult to catch this fish in the darkness of the night."
Erdoğan Mercan, who has been fishing in Erzincan for 40 years, went fishing near the Kemaliye district of the river.
While fishing there, a pike got caught on his line, and Mercan took the approximately 110-kilogram fish to his workplace.

Some citizens took photos with their mobile phones of the fish, which was offered for sale at 250 liras per kilogram.

Fisherman Mercan stated in his explanation that he caught the pike with a fishing rod, saying, "The fish I caught is around 110 kilograms. It is truly very difficult to catch this fish in the darkness of the night."
