The brutal murder of two 19-year-old girls in Istanbul has dominated the national agenda. As reactions to the incident grew, photos actor Uraz Kaygılaroğlu had taken for a magazine became a topic of discussion.
Kaygılaroğlu, who posed with a butcher knife, a woman's head, and blood, issued a written statement following the criticism. Arguing that his intention was not to evoke negative emotions, Kaygılaroğlu said, "I apologize to everyone."
Stating that his previous apology was not accepted, the actor expressed that he did not know things would reach this point and apologized again. Kaygılaroğlu also stated, "The exhibition was my then-girlfriend's exhibition. I had apologized, but it was not accepted. If quitting will fix things, then I'll quit. My safety is at risk."
