Volkan Konak is laid to rest in his hometown of Trabzon
The funeral of Black Sea artist Volkan Konak was carried to the area in the Maçka district of Trabzon where the funeral prayer will be held, amidst great respect and applause.
Famous artist Volkan Konak, who passed away after suffering a heart attack on stage, will be laid to rest in Maçka. CHP Leader Özgür Özel is also attending the ceremony held for Konak in his hometown.
Volkan Konak, who suffered a heart attack on stage during a concert in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and passed away after being taken to the hospital, will be buried in Trabzon today.
The funeral prayer for 58-year-old Volkan Konak was held yesterday at the Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque in Levent, Istanbul. In accordance with his final wish, Konak's body was taken to his hometown of Trabzon.
HE WILL BE BURIED IN MAÇKA
The famous artist's funeral will be buried in the Güney neighborhood after the funeral prayer to be held following the noon prayer in his father's hometown of Maçka, Trabzon.
