Volkan Demirel's father laid to rest

The funeral of 71-year-old Naci Demirel, father of former national goalkeeper and manager Volkan Demirel, was held in Beykoz following funeral prayers.

Manager Volkan Demirel's father, Ali Naci Demirel, who passed away at the age of 71, has been laid to rest.

Former national goalkeeper and manager Volkan Demirel’s father, Ali Naci Demirel, was hospitalized after falling ill in Bodrum.

Despite all medical interventions at the hospital, Demirel could not be saved and lost his life.

Demirel’s funeral was interred at Görele Cemetery following the prayer service held at the Beykoz Acarkent Mosque.

In addition to Volkan Demirel and his family, the funeral was attended by former Interior Minister Mehmet Ağar, Emre Belözoğlu, Tuncay Şanlı, Gökhan Gönül, the Hatayspor Board of Directors, and his loved ones.

Volkan Demirel and his wife, Zeynep Demirel, accepted condolences.
