The fact that social media influencer Kübra Aykut, who lost her life after jumping from the 5th floor of her home in Sultanbeyli, Istanbul, included the phrases "I jumped of my own free will. How I surprised you again, didn't I?" in the letter allegedly written before her death has caused astonishment, while the question "Has death been turned into a show?" has come to the fore.

A video shared on social media by another TikTok user, in which she is seen crying following Kübra Aykut's death, has also taken the incident to another dimension. Experts evaluated the events for Milliyet.

'THERE IS A DESIRE TO SEND A MESSAGE'

Prof. Dr. Demet Lüküslü from the Yeditepe University Department of Sociology stated the following:

"In suicide notes, there is actually always a desire to send a message. It is the moment we see that the world, which she defined as a lie, is not actually like that. The sentence 'How I surprised you again, didn't I?' can be read from this perspective. It can also be evaluated as an exposure of a world that is a lie. We cannot know how real or not this video, filmed after the deceased, is. However, on social media, death, like many other things, can turn into a show."

Clinical Psychologist Gözem Kıray Kaş said, "People can sometimes experience hidden depression. Even if they seem very happy, they may actually be experiencing hidden depression."

"TURNED INTO A SHOW"

Regarding the video shared by the social media influencer named 'ipekdorukoglu' while crying after Aykut's death, Kaş said:

"This is not genuine grief. She has turned her friend's death into a show to increase her follower count and view numbers."

Expert Psychologist Alanur Özalp also commented, "It is a letter that a pathological patient might give. People who have committed suicide in this way write letters to vent their anger. In fact, they want to send the message, 'Look, you didn't notice me, you didn't see me, you couldn't protect me, you are at fault...'"

"I jumped of my own free will. Take very good care of Fıstık. I was very good to everyone in my life. But I couldn't be good to myself. Living as a good person didn't gain me anything. Be selfish in this life. Then you will be happy. I have been suffering for days, no one saw it. I, who loved myself so much, am leaving because I am thinking of myself. I am sorry. How I surprised you again, didn't I?"
