Halfeti is a tourist district located in the west of Şanlıurfa, in Turkey's Southeastern Anatolia Region. The district, known today as Old and New Halfeti, has become a focal point for tourists. Famous for its black roses, which draw attention with their natural beauty and historical structures, Halfeti is also known as the Land of the Black Rose.

The district center is 112 km from Şanlıurfa and 105 km from Gaziantep.

Although the district is administratively part of Şanlıurfa, its economic ties and social/cultural activities are centered in Gaziantep. While New Halfeti has seen rapid population growth, Old Halfeti has been opened to tourism, and the district has become an attraction center with a significant share of historical and nature tourism.

HOW TO GET TO HALFETI?

The district center is connected to the Gaziantep-Şanlıurfa highway by a 40 km asphalt road. Due to the district's economic connection with Gaziantep, there are numerous vehicles traveling to Gaziantep from both the district center and the villages.

For those who want to travel by private car from Şanlıurfa, it is possible to reach the district in approximately 1.5 hours by following the D400 highway in the direction of Halfeti.

For those who prefer public transport, minibuses to Halfeti depart from the Şanlıurfa bus terminal. The journey to Halfeti by these minibuses takes an average of 2.5 hours.
