Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu was born on March 1, 1994, in Istanbul. He graduated from the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, Department of Acting. He conducted studies on physical theater and modern dance in India and Poland. He has performed in many theatrical plays. In April 2017, he was awarded the 'Most Successful Young Generation Artist of the Year' at the 21st Afife Theater Awards for his performance in the play Troas. The young actor took part in the plays Troas and Kalp in 2018, and in the play Evlat, directed by İbrahim Çiçek, in 2019.

He began his television career in 2017 with the character Hakan Şahin, which he portrayed in the series Adı Efsane, broadcast on Kanal D. The series lasted for a total of 29 episodes.

In 2018, he played the character of Emir in Netflix's first Turkish series, The Protector (Hakan: Muhafız).

In 2020, he took on a leading role in the Netflix production Rise of Empires: Ottoman. He brought Fatih Sultan Mehmed to life in the documentary-style production, which focuses on the conquest of Istanbul.

In 2021, he starred in the Netflix film Kin, portraying the character of Emre/Tuncay Kökdemir.
