Who is Evren Devrim Zelyut? What was his illness?

Economist Evren Devrim Zelyut, well-known to gold, dollar, and stock market investors, had previously made a statement on his social media account regarding his treatment process. In September 2024, he announced that he would undergo surgery due to his illness with the following words: 'I could not publish today's morning report because I will undergo surgery on Friday morning (tomorrow); the tests are finished now. God willing, we will continue from where we left off in 4-5 days. I ask for forgiveness from those whose hearts I have broken and those I have angered; I hope to see you again...' 

On March 4, 2025, Zelyut shared on his social media account that his treatment process was continuing and that he needed prayers. However, sad news was received today regarding Evren Devrim Zelyut.

WHO IS EVREN DEVRİM ZELYUT?

Evren Devrim Zelyut was born on December 22, 1982, in Istanbul. His father, Rıza Zelyut, is a well-known journalist and author. After completing his primary and secondary education in Istanbul, Zelyut graduated from the Department of Economics at Marmara University's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 2004.

Following his graduation, he worked as an investment specialist at Kent Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş. In 2008, he moved to Prim Menkul Değerler A.Ş., where he also worked as an investment specialist. In 2010, he transitioned to Arıkanlı Holding, where he served as a management consultant. In 2013, he founded his own company, Avrasya Yatırım.

Zelyut had been a columnist for the newspaper Yeniçağ since 2014, where he shared his analyses and views on the Turkish and global economy. In 2017, he launched a YouTube channel for Avrasya Yatırım, where he publishes analyses and forecasts on the economy. He also conducted joint broadcasts with economic journalist Remzi Özdemir. Zelyut's YouTube channel became one of Turkey's most popular economic channels.
