Woman found dead in Eskişehir turns out to be sister of famous artist

Woman found dead in Eskişehir turns out to be sister of famous artist

Fatma Nezihe Akkuş, an Alzheimer's patient living in the Odunpazarı district of Eskişehir, did not return home after leaving during the night. When her family could not get results from their search in the surrounding area, they reported her missing to the police.

While police teams were searching for Akkuş, a report was received that a woman's body had been found in the Adalar region of the İstiklâl neighborhood in the Porsuk Stream. According to Habertürk, examinations revealed that the body belonged to Fatma Nezihe Akkuş, the sister of famous artist Mithat Körler.

The prosecutor's office and police teams arriving at the scene had the body taken to the Eskişehir City Hospital morgue to determine the exact cause of death. Since Akkuş's death is considered suspicious, an investigation has been launched by the prosecutor's office.

Famous singer Mithat Körler confirmed the death of his sister, Fatma Nezihe Akkuş, stating, "My sister, Fatma Nezihe Akkuş, has passed away."

Akkuş's funeral will be held following the noon prayer at the 100. Yıl Mosque.
