In the video shared on Yusuf Dikeç's social media account, the lead actor, disguised as Dikeç with a plastic mask, stands in front of a mirror with an Olympic medal and, after completing his mission, cleans the mask on his face to reveal his true identity.
ADAPTED FOR CINEMA TWICE
"The Day of the Jackal," one of the most iconic thriller novels of the 20th century, has previously been adapted for the screen twice.
The first film, released in 1973, received great acclaim from critics. However, the 1997 film starring Bruce Willis failed to make the expected impact in the world of cinema.
Now adapted as a television series, the work is breaking viewership records and surpassing previous adaptations. The 'Jackal,' brought to life by Eddie Redmayne, is a highly professional assassin who works only for the highest bidder and is almost impossible to track.
This mysterious character, who acts alone, comes face to face with a British intelligence agent, played by Lashana Lynch, who closely monitors his activities in Europe. The relentless struggle between the two is one of the most impressive and gripping elements of the series.
