Zafer Algöz's reaction to Sergen Yalçın
Actor Zafer Algöz, a close friend of Sergen Yalçın, made statements following the recent developments at Beşiktaş.
The second tenure of manager Sergen Yalçın at Beşiktaş has come to an end after the two parties mutually agreed to part ways.
Zafer Algöz, a Beşiktaş fan and close friend of Sergen Yalçın, said, "Just because we said it would be better for Beşiktaş to continue with Sergen... Kaya Çilingiroğlu, Serdar Sarıdağ, and I... We were subjected to every insult imaginable. We were called 'hangers-on' and 'freeloaders'."
Continuing his remarks, Algöz stated, "Fenerbahçe fans sent off Tedesco, who lost matches and the championship, from the airport with 1,000 people... But our fans showed unprecedented disrespect to our legendary player who won the miraculous championship in 2021. The booing, those shouting 'resign', those throwing water bottles at his head, those insulting his family and his late brother on social media... Those calling him a 'gambler', those calling him a 'village headman'... Let them be happy now, let them celebrate."
