11-year-old child causes horror with tractor: 2 children dead, 2 injured

The accident occurred around 21:00 in the Ören neighborhood of the Akçadağ district. According to allegations, the tractor with license plate 44 AEL 870, driven by 11-year-old K.A. while traveling in the Çatyol area, lost control and plowed into children playing on the side of the road.

While the vehicle was able to stop after hitting the wall of a house, 4 children were injured in the tragic accident. The injured were taken to Akçadağ Şehit Gökhan Aslan State Hospital and Malatya Training and Research Hospital by ambulances dispatched to the area. Despite all interventions at the hospitals, Ada Yıldırım (7) and Zelal Yıldırım (11) could not be saved and lost their lives.

Upon receiving the news of the children's deaths, their relatives suffered nervous breakdowns in the hospital emergency rooms, and the police took security measures. The bodies of the two children were sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute after procedures at the hospitals. The injured children, G.Ş. (7) and A.K. (7), were taken under treatment at Turgut Özal Medical Center. The investigation into the accident, in which the vehicle driver has been taken into custody, is ongoing.
